Who we are

Georgina Lloyd, LMSW, is an American-trained trauma therapist specializing in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), wellness coaching, and mindful living practices that help reduce the physical impact of trauma. She has dedicated her career to supporting individuals through the complexities of childhood trauma, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm.

During her Master of Social Work program, Georgina interned at a women’s addiction recovery home and supportive housing program, where she gained foundational experience in trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, and community support services.

After completing her degree, she began her clinical journey with a Youth Mobile Crisis Team, providing crisis assessments in schools, homes, and emergency departments for children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health emergencies. She later expanded her expertise through roles in Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS) and youth residential programs, where she worked closely with young people displaying problematic sexual behaviors.

As a Type 1 diabetic, Georgina brings personal insight to her clinical work and has developed mental-wellbeing programs for individuals living with chronic illnesses, chronic fatigue, and their families. This lived experience deepens her commitment to holistic, compassionate care.

In 2025, Georgina founded Voyager Therapy, creating a practice that allows her to serve clients in both the United States—where she trained—and in her home country of England. Inspired by the idea that therapy is a journey of healing, exploration, and growth, she chose the name Voyager to reflect the transformative path clients embark upon.

Voyager Therapy offers individual, family, group, and community-based programs designed to help clients heal, grow, and find direction.

Georgina also writes The Therapist Diaries, a reflective blog sharing insights on trauma healing, wellness, and mindful living, with new posts every Wednesday and Sunday.
