Emotional Dysregulation & Behaviour Support

Simple parenting techniques to support a healthier, happier, and safer home.

You don’t have to accept dangerous or disruptive behaviour as the norm for your child, effective support is available. With over a decade of experience supporting children and families in crisis, Georgina Lloyd, MSW, LCSW, has found that meaningful behavioural change does not have to take years, nor does it always require a child to remain in a traditional therapy setting. Lasting progress is often achieved through clear communication, consistent boundaries, and a structured, supportive environment.

Who Is This Service For?

This service is designed for families experiencing persistent challenges with their child’s behaviour and who would benefit from structured, practical support delivered within the home environment. It is particularly suited to parents who feel overwhelmed, caught in unhelpful patterns, or uncertain about how to respond consistently and effectively.

The programme focuses on real-time, in-home intervention, allowing behaviours to be observed and addressed as they arise, while equipping families with clear, sustainable strategies.

Families may benefit from this service if they are experiencing:

  • Frequent tantrums, meltdowns, or emotional dysregulation

  • Aggressive or unsafe behaviours (e.g. hitting, biting, throwing objects)

  • Defiance, non-compliance, or ongoing boundary-testing

  • Sleep difficulties or challenges with bedtime routines

  • Mealtime struggles or refusal behaviours

  • Sibling conflict or heightened family tension

  • Difficulties with transitions, routines, or daily structure

  • Challenges with listening, cooperation, and respect

  • School-related concerns impacting behaviour, engagement, or attendance

  • Parental stress, burnout, or reduced confidence in behaviour management

This service is also appropriate for families who have not achieved desired outcomes through previous interventions and are seeking a more intensive, hands-on level of support.

At its core, the programme is intended for families who are ready to engage in meaningful change, supported by professional guidance, coaching, and a consistent, evidence-informed approach.

In Home Support

Our in-home programmes provide direct, on-site support, complemented by telephone and virtual follow-ups to monitor progress and offer additional assistance as needed. Support can be tailored to the duration that best suits your family’s needs; however, we find that outcomes are most effective when families are able to commit to the two-week programme.

The in-home service has four stages:

1)    Observation & Assessment: A comprehensive period of observation to understand the child’s behaviours, triggers, environment, and family dynamics. This stage informs a tailored intervention plan.

2)    Implementation of Structure & Routine: Introduction of clear boundaries, consistent routines, and practical strategies to create a stable and predictable environment that supports positive behaviour.

3)    Rebuilding Connection & Communication: Focused support to strengthen relationships within the family, enhance emotional connection, and develop clear, effective communication patterns.

4)    Follow Through & Consistency: Ongoing guidance to reinforce strategies, maintain consistency, and support long-term behavioural change across home and community settings.

Cost Of In-Home Services

Our in-home direct support is offered in the following tiers:

Single Day: £350 Provision of 8 hours of in-home support, alongside two follow-up calls within the subsequent month. Support can include school observation if requested. Observation hours are scheduled in alignment with your child’s identified trigger periods, enabling the clinician to observe behaviours directly and implement timely, responsive adjustments.

Single Week: £1600 Provision of 40 hours of in-home support, including two days of observation—one weekday and one weekend—and three additional days of direct intervention. This programme also includes two follow-up calls within the subsequent month to monitor progress and provide further support as needed.

Two Week: £3200 Provision of 80 hours of in-home support, comprising three dedicated observation days—one weekday, one weekend day, and one conducted within the community—alongside seven additional days of direct intervention. The programme also includes two follow-up calls within the subsequent month to monitor progress and provide further support as required.

Month: £6000 Our monthly programme offers enhanced flexibility for families while providing a comprehensive level of support. The first two weeks mirror our two-week programme, including three observation sessions and seven days of direct intervention, totalling 80 hours of in-home support. During the third week, the focus shifts to targeted therapy and/or coaching for family members requiring additional support, alongside appropriate liaison with key community stakeholders—such as schools and extracurricular providers—who play a role in the child’s and family’s daily life. The fourth week emphasises family therapy and relationship-building, with opportunities to involve extended family members where appropriate. This represents our most comprehensive and holistic programme offering.
